The Cs-137 and highly sensitive detectors were adopted to detect and control the molten steel level of the mold in the small billet continuous casting machine.
Plug rod control - Radioactive source detection:
Stable molten steel detection system, advanced digital electric cylinder and linear bearing balanced plug rod open & close mechanism and other equipment are adopted to effectively control the molten flow in the tundish, making the molten liquid level in the continuous casting mold stable and achieving the automatic control of constant liquid level and constant drawing speed production.
Plug rod control - Eddy Current Detection:
The liquid level detection is a non-contact measurement with high sensitivity and good stability. The output signal can be matched according to the implementation requirements. High-temperature resistant, the sensor can operate in > 500℃, operation is simple and convenient. During calibration, only the potentiometer needs to be adjusted.
Plug Rod Control - Electromagnetic Induction Detection:
At present, it is used on square billets, rectangular billets and slab billets. The electromagnetic coil is fixed on the copper plate of the mold. It has the advantages of convenient operation, anti-interference, high sensitivity and long measurement range, and can achieve automatic pouring. The control principle is the same as that of plug rod control - eddy current detection.
